Company Profile:
Fruitful Furnishings began in 1979 as a custom furniture shop. Within ten years, a sawmill was added for producing dimension parts and providing custom sawing, planing, and kiln drying services to cutsomers wishing to furnish their homes with wood from their own trees. Our love of unique woods is displayed throughout our home which serves as a portfolio of the fine woodworking we provide to customers. Future projects are now leading us full circle back to spending more hours in the furniture shop creating one-of-a-kind, contemporary pieces from native Catskill woods.

We are artists, cabinetmakers, renewable energy enthusiasts, and recycling fanatics. Over the years, we have gone through various incarnations in our business, always with wood as a primary ingredient. Our current focus/passion is for producing one of a kind and selected editions of furniture using unusual woods and materials in their perfectly imperfect state. Found items, old glass from windows and doors, porch columns, reclaimed lumber of all descriptions, decorative elements,hardware from furniture and buildings of a bygone era can all be found in our pieces.
